Obituary of Elizabeth Welker

Passed away peacefully on June 19, 2012, at Lanark Heights Long Term Care Centre, Kitchener, at the age of 96. Dear mother of Hertha and her husband Paul Enns of Waterloo and Peter and his wife Anita Welker of Georgian Bay. Loving Oma of Daniel Enns (Marie-Anne LeDoaré), Christina Enns (Phil Shantz), Christopher Welker (Stephanie), and Steven Welker (Jessica Harrison). Loving great-Oma of Julia and Noah Enns-LeDoaré and Natasha and Mackenzie Shantz. Predeceased by her husband Peter Welker (2004), brothers Philip, John, and Rudolph, sisters Katie and Mary as well as her parents Elisabeth and Henry Bollenbach. Elizabeth's exceptional baking and cooking skills, wrapped in her all-embracing hospitality, were expressions of her love for family and friends. Her twinkle-in-the eye humour was the source of much family delight. Friends are invited to share their memories of Elizabeth with her family during visitation at the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King Street South, Waterloo, on Saturday, June 23, 2012 from 12:30 - 1: 30 p.m. A memorial service will follow in the chapel of the funeral home at 1:30 p.m. with Rev. Dr. Edmund Pries officiating. A reception will immediately follow in the Fireside Reception Room of the funeral home.
