Obituary of Leonard Croth

The Croth family sadly announces the passing of Leonard S. Croth. He died peacefully at Victoria Place, Kitchener on July 14, 2012 at the age of 90. Mr. Croth was a prominent insurance adjuster in Ontario, a Past Chairman of the Canadian Independent Adjusters Conference, Past President of the Insurance Institute of Ontario and Past Director of the Society of Fellows. He was a Past Member of the Mocha Shrine Temple, Kitchener Rotary Club, Blue Goose International, International Institute of Loss Adjusters and the local chapter of the Ontario Heart Foundation and the Alzheimer's Society. He enjoyed golf, bridge and travelling. He was a long time member of the Westmount Golf and Country Club. He was also an avid reader and a supporter of the Kitchener Library. Sadly missed by his wife Wally ( Wania), his children John Croth (Terry), Nancy Croth all of Waterloo and Jay Croth (Millie) of Sanford Michigan. Loving grandfather of Robert Croth (Allison), Shelley Croth (Bill), JD Croth (Jackie ), Conor and Casey McCreary, Jami Croth, Alexandra and Morgan Ford, and Chris Clutterbuck. Great grandfather of James, Sarah, Lauren, Ryan, Devlynn, Carter and Jordan. Leonard was predeceased by his two brothers, Charles and Edwin, five sisters, Helen Boehmer, Ruth Shriner, Ella Carpenter, Florence O'Brien and Jean Craddock. Friends are invited to share their memories of Leonard with his family during visitation at the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King Street South, Waterloo, on Tuesday, July 17, 2012 from 7-9 pm. A memorial service to celebrate his life will be held in the chapel of the funeral home on Wednesday, July 18 at 1:00 pm. A reception will follow in the Fireside Reception Room. Cremation will have taken place.
