Obituary of Richard Nutbrown

Beloved husband of Heike Mertins, proud father of Shawn, Brodie and Emily, adoring grandfather of Morgan Nutbrown, brother to David and Cynthia Nutbrown, son of Edi and Lincoln Nutbrown(deceased), son-in-law to Heinz and Edith Mertins, brother-in-law to Doris Mertins, Kevin McNabb and Keller Easterling, Uncle to Todd, Jennifer, Ayson, Kelly, and Maya, respected professor and good friend to many, Richard Nutbrown, died peacefully at home surrounded by family early Thursday July 12th. Diagnosed at the beginning of February 2011 with a brain tumour Richard outlived his prognosis by more than a year, living life to its fullest during this time. In keeping with his wishes a wake will be held at The Duke of Wellington on July 18th, from 12- 5 p.m. Memories will be shared from 1-2 p.m. The family requests that in lieu of flowers donations be made to either The Brain Tumour Foundation of Canada www.braintumour.ca (research dollars are greatly needed) or The Richard Nutbrown Fund in support of students at the University of Waterloo (other projects at https://ecommunity.uwaterloo.ca/giving.)
