Obituary of Rosina Intscher
Passed away peacefully at Bay Haven Nursing Home, Collingwood on July 19, 2012 in her 92nd year.
She was a beloved wife for 56 years to Pastor Martin Intscher (d. 1999), and a loving mother to Hans (Doris) Intscher, Horst (Janet) Intscher and Rosemarie (Intscher) Mitchell. She will also be sorely missed by her grandchildren and great-grandchildren: Laura (Patrick Madden) Intscher and daughters Maya and Saqqara; Shawn (Suzanne Williams) Mitchell and daughter Katherine; Maria Intscher; Peter Mitchell and daughter MacKenzie; Erika Intscher and Nicholas Intscher. She will also be missed by other extended family, especially her siblings by marriage Martin Fabi (Katherine) and Katherine Graef.
Rosina was born in Duerrbach, Transylvania, the only child of Georg Hesch and Rosina Schneider. In 1950, she immigrated to Canada with her husband Martin and three young children where they raised their family in northern Saskatchewan and Alberta. In 1966, Rosina and Martin moved to Kitchener-Waterloo where she was an active member of Pilgrim Evangelical Lutheran Church and of the Transylvania Club and choir. Her commitment to her community and her sense of humour will be missed by all who knew her.
Friends are invited to share their memories of Rosina with her family during visitation at Erb and Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King Street S., Waterloo on Tuesday, July 24, 2012 from 6:30 to 9 p.m. The funeral service will be held in the chapel of the funeral home on Wednesday, July 25, 2012 at 11 a.m.
Interment at Woodland Cemetery, Kitchener will be followed by a reception in the Fireside Reception Room of the funeral home.
