Obituary of John Fischer

John went peacefully to be with the Lord, after a long, brave battle with cancer. He was surrounded by his family and close friends. He is survived by his devoted wife, Cheryl, of 40 years; his proud children Dan, Mike and Adriana, Debbie and Matt, Doug and Nadine; his loving grandchildren Eryn, Lucas and Mikey; his siblings Wayne and Judi, Linda and Geoff; Grandma Ruth Fischer and so many more extended family. John was reunited with his parents Walter and Jean Fischer in Heaven. He was a member of St. Matthew's Lutheran Church in Conestogo. John was a proud owner and president of Engineered Electric Controls Ltd. in Cambridge, along with his brother Wayne for over 40 years - a company which was started in 1965 by their father Walter Fischer. Now the company is being passed down to the third generation of Fischers, a generation which is just as dedicated as the first. He will be missed by all who knew him. His fight is over and now he may rest in peace. Relatives and friends are invited to share memories of John during memorial visitation at the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King St. S., Waterloo on Wednesday, July 25, 2012 from 1-4 and 6-9 p.m. The memorial service will be held in the Funeral Home Chapel on Thursday, July 26, 2012 at 1:00 p.m. with Rev. Monika Wiesner officiating. A reception will immediately follow the service at the funeral home. Private family interment at Memory Gardens Cemetery, Breslau.
