Obituary of James Weir

Passed away peacefully at Freeport Health Centre, Kitchener on July 17, 2012 at the age of 86. Predeceased by his wife Pamela in 2001. Loving father of Valerie (George) Hiller, Jim Weir and friend (Liz Lenz), both of Kitchener and Rob Weir (Teresa) of Moncton. Sadly missed by grandchildren Leslie, Bill, Josh, Jordan and Brandon. Dear brother of Jean Pease of Kitchener. Jim retired from Conestoga College in 1991 and spent his retirement pursuing his many interests in music,photography, movies,and art. During this time he was a founding member of the Community Arts Centre (Button Factory). He enjoyed facilitating seminars and groups for those who shared his love of drawing, oils and water colours. Friends are invited to share their memories of Jim with his family during visitation at the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King Street South, Waterloo, on Saturday July 28, 2012 from 10 a.m. until the time of the memorial service at 11 a.m. Cremation has taken place.
