I still think of Valerie and miss her every day. I loved her candor and honesty, and wish she was still around to spread her good energy...they say only the good die young,a nd in this case, that seems correct, but for the people left living without her, it feels unfair. I hope her sisters and family remember her with love and respect who she was, even if she wasn't perfect. She was a character and the world needs colourful people like her to remind us we all beat to different drums. I wish her family to be at peace with her and remember her with love, as I do.

I have known Val for a number of years. She was an incredibly strong women, with a wonderful sense of humor. She was a joy to sit with with, even through her trials and triumphs. She spoke lovingly for those she cared about and spoke of them often. Go in peace Val.

I knew Valerie for many years and was taken with her spirit. She made no bones about who she was and expected people to respect her choices. I found her to be intelligent, funny, and one of the most realistic people I have known. I will miss her, but I hope she is at peace. I will never forget her. Love, Joanna
