Obituary of George Roemer

Passed away peacefully on July 31, 2012 at St. Mary's General Hospital, at the age of 99. Loving father of George, Steve (Donna) and Kathy (Fritz) Schuller. Dear Opa of Mark (Stacy) and Matthew (Marie), Stephanie (Greg) and Cindy, and Robert (Lois) and Caroline. Cherished Ur-Opa of Joey and Maxwell, Blake, Gavin and Mitchell, Caelin and Abi, and Audrey. Predeceased by his wife Katarina (nee Kirschner). George and Katarina were born in Romania, they went to Germany until immigrating to Canada in 1952. They were members of the Transylvania Club for many years. Friends are invited to share their memories of George with his family during visitation at the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King Street South, Waterloo, on Thursday, August 2, 2012 from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will be held in the chapel of the funeral home on Friday, August 3, at 11 a.m. A reception will immediately follow. Cremation with private family interment will take place at a later date.
