Obituary of Anna Stankowitsch
Died peacefully at the Forest Heights Long Term Care Facility at the age of 98 years. Predeceased by her husband Jakob Stankowitsch in 2005. Loving mother of Catherine Gruber & her husband Anthony, Michael Stankowitsch and his wife Barbara all off Kitchener. Dear Grandmother of Frances Miller (Gary), Michael Stankowitsch (Kathleen), Susan Paisley, Paula Stankowitsch, and Brock Smith (Kelly). Great Grandmother of Kevin, Steven, Christopher, Jakob and Andrew. Anna is survived by one sister Angela Linster of Chicago, her nephew John Conrad of Kitchener, and three nieces Anna Krieg of Chicago, Magdalena Kaufmann and Elizabeth Altendorfer of Austria. Anna was born in the former Yugoslavia, immigrated to Canada in 1951 and a resident tin Waterloo since then. Anna worked at Twin City Laundry and later at Arrow Shirts until her retirement in 1968. She was longtime member of the Schwaben Club.
Friends are invited to share their memories of Anna with her family during visitation at the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King St. S., Waterloo, on Tuesday from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. Parish Prayers will be said at 8:45 p.m. Morning Prayers will be said on Wednesday August 15 2012, at 9:30am, followed by the Mass of Christian Burial at Our Lady of Lourdes R. C., with Monsignor Edward Sheridan as Celebrant. Reception to follow immediately following Mass in the Church Hall. Interment to follow at Parkview Cemetery Waterloo.
