Obituary of Robert Becker

Passed away peacefully on August 16, 2012 at Freeport Health Centre of Grand River Hospital in his 84th year. Bob was born November 27, 1928 and was the son of the late Eldon and Nellie Becker. Loving husband of Nelda Becker (nee) Weppler whom he married September 10, 1949. Dear father of Bonnie (Russ) St. Louis of Kapuskasing, Susan (Gary) Parker of St. Jacobs, Laurie (Jim) Knott of London. Loving Grandfather of Katharine (Matthew) Schwartz of Toronto, Jessica (Dale) Ryan of Katoomba Australia and John (fiancé Leanne Chipman) St. Louis of Waterloo. Step Grandfather to Kimberley Chapman of Calgary and Steven (Trina) Parker of Waterloo. Great Grandfather of Madeline Schwartz, Georgia, Audrey and Jack Ryan, Ryleigh and Cassidy Chapman, Holden and Grayson Parker. Predeceased by his sister Muriel Miller (2001). Bob was the former owner and operator of Becker Safety Equipment and a lifelong member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church Kitchener. Friends are invited to share their memories of Bob with his family during visitation at the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King Street South, Waterloo, Sunday August 19, 2012 from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will be held in the chapel of the funeral home on Monday August 20, 2012 at 11 am. Reception to follow in the Fireside Room at the Funeral Home. Family Interment to take place at St. Peter's Lutheran Cemetery.
