Obituary of Hans Kaiser

Proud father of Stephan (Valerie Audet) and Annabelle (Éric Giroux), even prouder grandfather to Matteo, Guillaume and Dax, and loving husband and soul mate to his wife Louise, Hans passed away on August 26, 2012 at Grand River Hospital in Kitchener having suffered a ruptured aortic aneurism two weeks earlier. Hans will be lovingly remembered by his brother Norbert in Berlin, his mother Magdalena and Aunt Margot in Bremen, Germany, and will forever be remembered by Diane Blondeau, mother of his children. Following a career in import/export, Hans followed his true passions. An accomplished horseman, Hans is remembered for his sportsmanship, competitive nature and contribution to the equestrian discipline of Dressage in Quebec. Hans was happy and energetic running his farm in Hudson and was renowned for his special affinity with horses. After moving to Waterloo in 1997, Hans found his calling in agricultural tourism, and was loved and admired by many friends around the world as a result of his work. He loved to plan to travel almost as much as to travel itself. He was so happy in his work, introducing people from around the world to all that Canada has to offer, and taking Canadians outbound to the world. Hans created his own luck in life, was ever optimistic, was a gentle loving husband and the rock of strength for Louise and his family. Special places in Hans' heart were Fox Grove Farm and the village of Hudson, Quebec; Amberley Beach on Lake Huron; his home town of Bremen in Germany; his travel destinations across Canada, Italy, Brazil, Argentina, Chile, New Zealand, South Africa, Austria and most of all, his own back yard and anywhere that friends and family gathered. Words cannot express how much he will be missed by all those that he touched along the way. A gathering for family and friends will be held at the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King Street South in Kitchener on Thursday August 30th at 3p.m. with a memorial service at 4p.m. in the chapel of the funeral home. A celebration of his life will be held in Hudson at a later date. The family expresses its profound appreciation to St. Mary's Hospital, the vascular surgery and CCU teams at Guelph General Hospital, and the caring ICU Team at Grand River Hospital. Donations in Hans' memory are suggested to Canadian Blood Services or KidsAbility Foundation.
