Obituary of Gordon Gill
Passed away peacefully on August 28, 2012 at Columbia Forest Long Term Care Centre, Waterloo, at the age of 93.
Beloved husband of the late Elizabeth. Father of Sandra (Peter) Henderson, brother-in-law of Greta. Dear grandfather (Poopaw) of Lisa (Peter) Horst, Terri (Brian) Dernesch, Cathy (Jeff) Burnell, and Gordon Henderson. Great-poopaw of Kate (Aaron), Nashira (David), Shannon (Clint), Ariel (Carlos), Lauren (Mike), Jordon, Danielle, Tyler (Brandi), Ashlee, Emily, Jacob, and Billy. Great-great-poopaw of Aleeya and Naomi.
Gunner Gill fought in WWII in the 30th Light Anti-Aircraft Battery, also known as Conn Smythe's Sportsman's Battery. Gordon retired from O'Keefes Brewing (Molson's) after 37 years.
Gone to join wife Elsie, son Douglas, granddaughter Nancy, great-grandson Adam, parents Gilbert and Florence, brother Bud, sister Dorothy, and sister-in-law Mina.
Friends are invited to share their memories of Gordon with his family during visitation at the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King Street South, Waterloo, on Thursday, August 30 from 1 to 2 p.m. The funeral service will follow in the chapel of the funeral home at 2 p.m. Interment at Woodland Cemetery, Kitchener.
