Obituary of George Krebs

After a short battle with leukemia, passed away embraced by his wife and son on September 1st, 2012 at Grand River Hospital, Kitchener. Loving husband of Amanda (nee Beier) for 57 years. Father of the late Frank Krebs (Debbie), Gary Krebs (Stephanie Cote) of Crystal Beach, daughter Chrissy (Ralph) Steuer of Berlin Germany. Five Grandchildren, Tamara, Nicholas (Linda), Carly, Alexander and Andrea. Great-Grandson Logan. Brother of Hubert (Marianne) Krebs. Brother-in-law of Artur (late Marion) Beier, Ilse (Maurice) Allen and Dieter (Barbara) Beier. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents, Georg and Anna Krebs, his father and mother in law Fred and Bertha Beier; two sisters and one brother in Germany. George worked for the Carter Brothers, Belgium Standard Ind., Triangle Truck Equipment of Waterloo and Shu Pak of Woodstock. Friends are invited to share their memories of George with his family during visitation at the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King St. S., Waterloo, on Tuesday September 4 from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. Parish Prayers will be held at 8 p.m. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Agnes Roman Catholic Church, 75 Bluevale St. N, Waterloo on Wednesday, September 5 at 11 am, with the Rev. Piotr Machnacki S.A.C. as Celebrant. Interment to follow at Parkview Cemetery, Waterloo. Reception will then be held in the St. Agnes Parish Hall.
