Obituary of Doug Fitzgerald

Doug passed away suddenly on Tuesday, September 4, 2012 age 79. Doug was employed with Revenue Canada for 25 years and also served 5 years with the Canadian Naval Reserve; retired from the City of Waterloo (Parks & Recreation); worked part time with Ontario Seed Co.; member of Local 1542 CUPE; he was a dedicated volunteer with Waterloo Minor Hockey, Waterloo Siskins and Waterloo Expos. Dear step son of Ralph (Leon) Schwoob and his wife Karen; loving brother of Ted, Carl (Bonnie), Brian and Mike (Patty). He will be sadly missed by the Hergott family, especially Ken (late Carole), Kevin (Susan, Brandon, Kelly and Tara) and Brad (Joanne and Lindsay). Predeceased by his parents Carl (Rose) Fitzgerald and Gladys Schwoob and his sister Carole Hergott (September 3, 2012). Doug's family will receive friends at the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home 171 King St. S., Waterloo on Friday, September 14, 2012 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Cremation has taken place and a private family graveside service will be held at Memory Gardens Cemetery, Breslau.
