Obituary of Pearl Marks
Passed away on September 14, 2012, age 87. Beloved wife of the late Albert Marks. Mother to six children, Sylvia (Rod) Murray, Barbara Marengere, Gordon (Gail) Marks, Ronald (Doreta) Marks, Marcia (Peter) Wilson and the late Debra Marks. Pearl will be lovingly remembered by eight Grandchildren, Shayne Hofstetter, Sheila (Dale) Lucas, Krystle Rejesky, Nicole Marks, Chantelle Marks, Ryan Marks Rachel Wilson and Ian Wilson; six Great - Grandchildren Jamie Hoftstetter, Carly Lucas, Kyle Lucas, Dominic Rejesky, Faith Rejesky and Logan Marks; and one Great - Great - Grandchild Summer Hofstetter. Survived by her brother George (Audrey) Whitefoot and many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents, George and Maria (nee Heinisch) Whitefoot, sisters Ruby (late Stan) Marks and Louise (late Andy) Ballent, and one grandson Phillip Wilson. Pearl was a longtime and active volunteer in the Kitchener - Waterloo community. In 2000 she was named Oktoberfest Woman of the Year. She was a Grand River Hospital Volunteer, member of the Rockway Seniors Center, volunteer for the K-W Clown Troupe, active member of St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church belonging to the Woman's Missionary Society and Group Eight.
Friends are invited to share their memories of Pearl with her family during visitation at the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King Street South, Waterloo, on Tuesday September 18th from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will be held in the chapel of the funeral home on Wednesday September 19th, at 2:00pm with the Rev. Mark Lewis officiating. Reception to follow in the Fireside Reception Room of the funeral home. Burial to take place at Woodland Cemetery, Kitchener.
