Obituary of John Campbell

CAMPBELL, John Edward 1945 - 2012 Passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, September 25, 2012 at K-W Health Centre of Grand River Hospital, at age 66. Beloved husband of Anne (nee Nowak) for 42 years; loved father of Margaret, James, and Mary Ellen; dear brother of Sandy and his wife Janet of Winnipeg, Robert of British Columbia, Hugh of Kitchener, Mary Ann Hons and her husband Doug of Peterborough, Kitty Uffelmann and her husband Dave of Waterloo, and Jean Al and her husband Bob Nessner of Kitchener. John will also be fondly remembered by his many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents Dr. Alexander Douglas Campbell and Mary Rose Campbell (nee Phillips). John was born in Weyburn, Saskatchewan, but moved with his family to Kitchener shortly after his birth. He trained as a woodworker and, with four other students, founded the Design Workshop in New Dundee in 1972. Over the next decade, he continued woodworking and founded The Wood and Graphics Group in 1984 with his brother Hugh. He retired in 2008.
