Obituary of Joyce Godden

With sadness, the family of Joyce Godden announces her passing at Grand River Hospital, Kitchener, on Thursday October 11th, 2012 in her 86th year. Loving wife of Leslie Charles Godden for 65 years. Mother of Anne Webster, husband William of Halifax, Nova Scotia and Beverley Adamson, husband Martin of Cobourg Ontario. Grandmother of Mark, Gregory and Luke Adamson; and Heather and David Webster. Predeceased by her parents Louise (nee Moore) and John Vanderheiden and brother Ross. Joyce is a longtime active member of the United Church, participating over the years in many choirs and church activities, including more recently the Trinity Mr. and Mrs. Club. Joyce also loved travelling, needle work and most of all, spending time with her family. Joyce graduated from the University of Western Ontario in 1950. Friends are invited to share their memories of Joyce with her family during memorial visitation at the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King Street South, Waterloo, on Sunday October 14th, 2012 from 2-4 p.m. Visitation will continue on Monday October 15th, 2012 from 12:00pm until the memorial funeral service at 1pm in the chapel of the funeral home. A reception will follow in the Fireside Reception Room of the funeral home. Interment will then be held at Parkview Cemetery, Waterloo. Cremation has taken place.
