Dean was a gentle soul with the spirit of a saint. He was unique, intelligent and always provided very interesting conversation. I truly enjoyed every visit with him. I know he is watching over all of us and still striving to bring peace to the world. A true angel. All is well Dean All is well!

From the first time I met Dean years ago, we bonded. We kidded one another, and tried to out-wit one another, just like close brothers & sisters do. Dean was easy going, had a delightful sense of humor, and was smart. He easily became a part of our family, attending most of our holiday celebrations, weddings, and events. My Mother(now deceased) treated him equally - he always received the same value of gifts as the rest of us kids for Christmas and Birthdays.
Dean was an animal magnet - dogs and cats gravitated to him like bees to honey. Our cat Molly followed him everywhere and loved to curl up on his lap. But, Dean especially loved children and enjoyed my nieces son Zachary.
He was a computer guru fixing everyone's problems, with patience and skill. I am also so thankful for all the repairs, renovations and electrical jobs he did for my husband Paul, and myself. His favorite saying was, "yeah, yeah, I know Abby ... BEAUTIFUL!"
He was so happy that he journeyed east to spend time with his family this past year, and also the time he spent with his brother and sister-in-law in Brampton. He had so many wonderful experiences going for him.
I know that time will heal our disbelief and shock at his death. Regardless, Paul and I are grateful that he was a part of our lives and such a positive presence.
Memories will keep Dean alive forever in our hearts. We also extend our heartfelt sympathy and prayers to Dana's mother and family members.

Dana William Bird (Dean), May 27 1972 to Nov 5 2012 , passed away at home. He is loved by everyone and animals also , but he found life difficult.
He was a smart , talented , self-teaching quick learner. He was gentle , kind , considerate and caring and would stand up for others. To many he was attractive , playfull , funny , approachable and patient.
To me Dean is my best friend-partner-companion-housemate-workmate , we shared so much ,he will remain a great compassionate and calming influence in my life.
There are no words to express how deeply I miss him and will think of him everyday , I loved him perhaps more than he knew.
