Obituary of John Wiens

Passed away on November 28, 2012, of age related causes, at Forest Heights Long Term Care Facility in Kitchener at the age of 81. Born December 23, 1930 in Stratford, Ontario to parents, the late Jacob and Katherine (Dick) Wiens. John was a retired electrician for over 45 years from the University of Guelph. Pre-deceased by his beloved wife of almost 60 years, Patricia Maxcine Wiens (McCartney) who passed away May 17, 2009. Survived by his children, Anne Catton (Bruce), John Wiens (Peggy), Robert Wiens, Constance Bieth (Ronald), Dale Wiens (Maureen), Vickielynn Knight (Larry), Cindy Thibodeau (Andre), Patricia Ann Johnson (Bob) and James Wiens (Lesia). Will be missed by his 15 Grandchildren: Tammy, John, Robert, Robin, Rebecca, Scott, Shelley, Dwayne, Lisa, Jason, Stacey, Shaun, Nathan, Tyler & Scott, many great grandchildren and one sister Margaret Rogers (Fred). Predeceased by his infant son Earl Ray Wiens, Great Granddaughter KateLyn Knight and Grandson Casey Wiens. Friends are invited to share their memories of John with his family during visitation at the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King St. S., Waterloo on Monday December 3, 2012 from 10-11 am.
