Dear Paul,please accept our deepest sympathy at your loss of a mom and a friend. We regret that we were unable to attend both the visitation and the funeral service. Deloris was a great friend to Ray and I and our boys, to my mom and dad, and to all of our family. I remember many occasions of card games, camp fires, visiting on the porch, having a chat through the car window, seeing her at bingo games at the legion. She was a lot of fun, always with a smile on her face and a positive attitude when talking with all of us. I know she had her many aches, pains and troubles, but to us she portrayed a carefree, "i have no choice but to put up with it" attitude. This spirit is what kept her going for so long I believe. She was a good person, kind to all, interested in each person's life and their family and never forgot to ask about my mom Iva. We really appreciated that. We will miss her, even though we did not visit with her often over the last couple of years. I pray that your memories of her will keep you going over the next days, weeks and months to come Paul. It is not easy when you lose someone, but when it is your mother and your friend, it is even more difficult. God bless and we will see you in May, 2013.
