Obituary of Robert Barney

Bob passed away peacefully at the age of 86 on December 15, 2012 at Hospice Wellington (Guelph). Beloved husband for 30 years of Lynda Lee (Lawrence) Barney. He will be missed dearly by his step-daughters, Lori (Sam) Johnston and Melanie (Paul) Spencer and his step-grandson Zackery Hobler. He is survived by his children, Robert (Pat) Barney, Paula (Jerry) Jeffries, Sharon (Craig) Stevens, and his four grandchildren, Aimee, Robert, Stephen, and Ciarra as well as four great-grandchildren. Mr. Barney was employed over thirty years with the New Dundee Creamery Milk Processing Plant in New Dundee serving as Treasurer, Manager and Managing Director until his retirement in 1985. Through the Hospice Wellington, he was able to fulfill his wish that his last days would end with dignity and in comfort. Thank you to all of the wonderful support staff of such an amazing place that he was able to be at peace. Mr. Barney will be cremated and a private service will be held at a later date.
