Obituary of Richard Lamb

LAMB, Richard (Dick) Millard In his 90th year, passed away peacefully on December 24, 2012 in hospital with family. Devoted husband and caregiver of Kathryn Hansuld Lamb of Trinity Village Care Centre. Beloved father of David Lamb (Mona Eichmann) of Tavistock and Jennifer Lamb (Dwight Atkinson) of Vancouver. Proud grandfather of "Little" Richard Lamb (Charmaine Jesso) of Fergus and Heidi Lamb of Windsor. Fondly remembered by his sister Jenny Wilson (Australia) and her four daughters, and by his brother Vivian's widow, Hetty Lamb-Bayliss (New Zealand) and their three sons and two daughters. Born in Oxfordshire, UK, on June 28, 1923, he immigrated to Canada in 1950, retiring from Mutual Life two decades later. Philatelist, gardener, birdwatcher, cricketer and charter member of Parkminster United Church, Richard succumbed to ailments diagnosed a month earlier.
