Obituary of Ian Woodruff

Woodruff, Ian Bruce - It is with great sadness that we announce the death at the age of 55 of Ian Woodruff of Kitchener on Sunday, December 30th at Freeport Hospice, Kitchener. Ian passed away peacefully, surrounded by his loving wife and children, following a valiant struggle with pancreatic cancer. Ian, loving and much beloved husband and best friend for 24 years of Mary Woodruff (nee O'Rourke); loving and much loved father of Neil and Jenni. Loving son of Marion Woodruff of Fergus. Dear brother of Bob and his wife Sherry of Fergus; Russ & his fiancée Sharon of Mount Forest. Will be missed by nephew Trevor Woodruff and nieces Nici Woodruff, Nancy Robinson, and Amy Couling. Loving nephew of Joan Spratt of Fort Erie, Betty Howes of Waterloo. and Patsy Kent of Florida. Will be sadly missed by his Irish brother-in-laws and their families - John O'Rourke & his wife Leesha, Brian O'Rourke & his wife Olwen; Neil O'Rourke, his wife Berni, and their children Grace & Hannah. Ian was loving, kind, gentle and caring and always there for family and friends. His smile, laughter, sense of humour and friendliness will be missed by all who knew him. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday January 5, 2013 at 11am at Williamsburg Crematorium & Dedication Chapel, 1541 Fischer Hallman Road, Kitchener, following a Private Cremation.
