Obituary of Doris Kerr

Passed away peacefully, surrounded by the love of her family at Grand River Hospital on December 31, 2012, just shy of her 90th birthday. Doris was predeceased by her husband Charlie in 1996 after 54 years of marriage. Loving mother of Jim and Alice Kerr and Jane Gardner and Abner Baer. Beloved grandma of Shannon Gardner and Brenda Murray, Jeremy and Sarah Gardner, Brad Kerr and Allyson Hopkins, Karen Kerr and Glen Halsey. Proud great-grandma of Keegan, Tiffany and Emma. Daughter of the late Harry Helm and Elizabeth Eagar. Doris is survived by her brother-in-law Lloyd Barnes and predeceased by her siblings Ken Helm, Lillian Barnes and Audrey Kovack. Doris was a longtime employee of The Letter Service until her retirement. A faithful, founding member of the St. Columba Anglican Church. Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, January 9, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. at the St. Columba Anglican Church , 250 Lincoln Rd., Waterloo , On., N2J 2P5. The Rev. Julia Gill officiating.
