Obituary of Ernest Nabert

Passed away peacefully at Pinehaven Nursing Home at the age of 91 on January 2, 2013 with family by his side. Devoted husband of Audrey (nee Fawcett) for 63 years. Dear father of David (Gina) and Eric (Pat). Grandfather of Stephen, Cameron and Jennifer. Kurt was born in Konigsberg, Prussia, April 22, 1921- came to Canada at age 3 with parents and siblings, settling in Arnprior, ON. He graduated from University of Toronto and taught at Wilfrid Laurier University until retirement. Predeceased by parents Julius and Anna Nabert and siblings; Bernard, Walter, Heintz, William, Eric, Erna and infant son Paul. Lovingly remembered by his sister Leona (Reverend Harold Brose), brother-in-law Bruce Fawcett and wife Marjorie, sisters-in-law Barbara and Edith and many nieces and nephews. Kurt was an active member of St. John's Lutheran Church for many years. Cremation has taken place. A family memorial graveside service will be held at a later date.
