Obituary of William Hughes

Hughes, William Sylvester 1934 - 2013 Passed away with dignity and grace surrounded by his family on January 5, 2013 after a short and courageous battle with cancer. Bill is survived by his loving wife Rhoda of 51 years. Bill was born in Charlottetown, PEI. Predeceased by his parents, brothers and sisters. He is lovingly remembered by his daughters Beverly Waechter (David), Catherine Hughes Meyer (Jeff), Darlene, Lisa and Stephanie Toushon (Troy). Also remembered by Lynda Shevkenek (John), Barbara Bast (Philip) and Judy Whetstone (Rick). Dear Grandpa to Taya, Melissa, Aaron, Paige, Lyndsay, Brian, Alex and Brandon. Great Grandpa of five. He was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 530 of Waterloo for 40 years. Friends are invited to a memorial service at the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King St. S., Waterloo on Wednesday January 9, 2013 at 1pm. With Fr. Tom Vermiglio officiating. Reception to follow in the Fireside Reception Room of the Funeral Home.
