Obituary of Edna Ertel

Passed away peacefully on January 9, 2013 at St. Andrew's Terrace, in her 90th year. Predeceased by her parents Joseph and Amelia Ertel, sister Elenor (Carl) Long and brothers Wilfred (Helen) and Ken (Judy) Ertel. Survived by sisters Irene (Elmer) Hausch and Norma (Frank) Loftus, and brother Larry (Phyllis) Ertel. Loved by many nieces and nephews and specially cared for by Joe, Colette, Ashley and Tom Ertel. Edna's teaching career spanned 45 years, and took her from St. Clements, to North Bay to Waterloo. She was especially proud of her time at St. David's High School, where she retired as Guidance Counselor 28 years ago. Loved daily by care workers Karen Schultz, Joanne Sarkisian, Bev Lillie, Trina Vlietstra. At Edna's request there will be no visitation. Cremation has already taken place and a memorial mass will be announced at a later date in spring.
