Obituary of Ray Schabl

Passed away suddenly on Friday, February 1st, 2013 at Grand River Hospital, at the age of 82. Beloved husband of Anita (Wilhelm) for 58 years. Loving father of Sandra MacIntyre and Barbara Owen (Mark): cherished grandpa of Abbie MacIntyre, Spencer, Olivia and Charlotte Owen. Dear brother of Frank. He will also be remembered fondly by sisters-in-law, Elaine Pernfuss, Marilyn and Bill Rich and many nieces and nephews. Sadly, predeceased by son Robert in 1975. Ray retired from McDonald Electric/Westburne after 44 years. He was the gentlest of men, the kindest and most loving whom we were blessed to have as a husband, father and grandfather. Ray always put the needs of others ahead of himself and he enjoyed challenges that utilized his experience and intelligence. To honour Ray's wishes, a private burial has taken place. "I'm sure Ray has already figured out how to acquire toothpicks on his next journey".
