Schiedel, Howard Stanley Oct 2, 1927- Feb 7, 2013 After a heartfelt goodbye from his grandchildren, Grandpa was ready to welcome his release with peace. Beloved Dad of Dianne Hollinger (Ernie Patryluk) and Judy Weber (Jeff Riel); Grandpa of Scott Hollinger (Joanne), Christine Hollinger, Kelly Couperthwaite (Robb) and Tim Weber and great granddaughter Hayley Couperthwaite. Howie will be sadly missed by his brother Raymond, sister Ruth Bauman (Howard), many nieces, nephews and friends. Predeceased by his parents Aylmer and Sarah, our mother Helen, his second wife Edna, brother Clifford and sister Myrtle. Howie worked for Canada Post then Reitzel Bros. Rentals. Although he retired early due to blindness, he continued to have many adventures including travelling and various sport activities. Friends are invited to share their memories of Howie with his family during visitation at the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King St. S., Waterloo on Wednesday, February 13, 2013 from 1:00 pm to 2:45 pm. A celebration of Howie's life will follow visitation in the chapel of the funeral home at 3:00 pm. A reception will follow in the Fireside Reception Room of the funeral home. Cremation will have taken place and interment will be held at First Mennonite Cemetery, Kitchener at a later date.
