Obituary of Lawson Jacob

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Jake at Hamilton General Hospital on Thursday, February 14, 2013 following injuries sustained in a tragic accident on January 30. Beloved husband of Bonnie (nee Weber) for 57 years. Cherished father to Peggy and John Krzewski, Barbara and Robert Boshart, Sally Livingstone and Robert Thomson, and Thomas Jacob. He will be dearly missed by his grandchildren, Michael Boshart, Ryan Boshart, Matthew Livingstone, Stephen Krzewski, Laura Krzewski and Robbie Mercer. Papa Jacob will live on with the memories we share with Jacob and Sophia Mercer, his great-grandchildren. Jake was predeceased by his parents, Mildred and Bill Jacob; his brother, Wilfrid; his son-in-law, Mark Livingstone; and his granddaughter-in-law, Christine Cameron-Boshart. Heartfelt thanks to the emergency department and trauma team at Grand River Hospital and the staff in ICU at Hamilton General for their dedication and compassion to Jake and our family over the last two weeks. Relatives and friends are invited to share memories of Jake during visitation at the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King St. S., Waterloo on Monday, February 18, 2013 from 11 a.m. - 11:45 a.m. The funeral service will follow in the Funeral Home Chapel at 12 noon. A reception will immediately follow the service in the funeral home's Fireside Reception Room.
