Obituary of Ralph Shantz

Peacefully passed away on February 16, 2013 at St. Mary's Hospital, Kitchener, at the age of 88, surrounded by the love of his family. Beloved husband of Helena (nee Metcalf) for 64 years. Cherished father of Paul (Audrey), Stephen (Anna), and Christine (Bill Bester). Loving grandpa of Amy, Amanda, Richard, Nicole, Ashley, Luke, Lindsay, Kylie and great-grandpa of Dexter and Zachary. Predeceased by his parents Harry and Amy (nee Sauder). Ralph was a faithful member of First Baptist Church. For many years, Ralph was a member of the Berean Male Quartet. In recent years he was an active vocalist with the Jubilation Male Chorus. He retired from Uniroyal after 33 years of service. Ralph enjoyed his part time job at Zehrs from 1990 - 2011. Friends are invited to share their memories of Ralph with his family during visitation at the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King St. S., Waterloo on Wednesday, February 20 from 7-9 p.m. and will continue on Thursday, February 21 from 10 - 10:45 a.m. The funeral service will be held in the chapel of the funeral home at 11 a.m. A reception will immediately follow. Interment at Woodland Cemetery, Kitchener.
