Obituary of Dirk Mosselman
Passed away peacefully, surrounded by his loving family, at St. Mary's Hospital, on Tuesday, February 19, 2013 at the age of 85.
Dirk was predeceased by his beloved wife Reina in 2000. He is survived by his children: Hilda Bach, Cecil (Alida) Mosselman, Richard Mosselman, Marion (Wolfgang) Becker, grandchildren: Christopher and Stephanie Bach, Scott (Stephanie) Mosselman, Lee-Anne (Graham) Clarke, Jennifer (Allan) Dickenson and three great grandchildren: Oliver Clarke, Caleb Dickenson and Arjen Mosselman.
Dirk is also survived by his son-in-law Dr. Doug Bach and brothers and sisters in Canada and the Netherlands.
Dirk was trained as a Master Mason in the Netherlands and he continued that with a successful career in Canada. Dirk and Reina enjoyed many great times camping and fishing. They made many friends over the years at Pinehurst Campground. He will also be remembered for his model train set in the basement of his home, building the landscape from scratch.
Friends are invited to share their memories of Dirk with his family during visitation at the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King St. S., Waterloo on Sunday, February 24, 2013 from 11:30 to 12:45 pm. The funeral service will be held in the chapel of the funeral home at 1:00 pm followed by refreshments and fellowship in the Fireside Reception Room of the funeral home. Cremation will have taken place and interment will follow at a later date.
