We lived next door to Sally and Hugo in Kitchener for five years. Sally would always walk to work and one of the highlights of our children's day was looking out the front window and seeing Sally go by. They would shout, "There's Sally Marcus!" Sally was a quiet and caring person. She would always stop to chat and ask how things were going. Her gentle, loving character made her very approachable. Our family was truly blessed by knowing Sally. Our prayers are with Hugo and the rest of their family as the grieve the loss of this wonderful woman.

To Sally's family and friends, my heartfelt condolences and prayers. She was a wonderful person. A friend of mine has been a resident at Winston Park for a few years, and we were greatly impressed by Sally's cheerfulness and calm competence, her unfailing caring and understanding. She will be very much missed by residents and their "family" members.

To the Marcus family....On behalf of my Mom Mary Johnston, and my family, please know our deep sadness to hear of Sally's death. My Mom Mary spent 2 1/2 years on the Supportive Care Floor of Winston Park, and Sally was a treasure. She was quiet, but she had a sense of humour and a great and humble dignity about her, and the work and care she gave. She worked as unto the Lord. We loved her! We continue to hold her family in our prayers....may you know the comfort of shared memories, and the joy of a live well lived. May God Himself be present, and an assurance that the resurrection hope is a sure and real promise. We are thankful to have known her, and been touched by her gracious life. Deut 33:12b

My heart and prayers go out to all of you not just at this difficult time, but also in the days and months ahead when the emptiness will weigh so heavily on each one of you in your own special way. My thoughts and prayers go out to the entire family of Sally. I only knew Sally for a year and half. I met her when we had to take mom to live at Winston Park on the support care floor because mom had dementia. Sally made such a good impression on us and she was very, very kind and considerate. I always looked forward to saying hello to Sally and asking how mom was. Sally was always ready to help or advise me. One day I looked for Sally and didn't even know she was ill. She just disappeared from the supportive care floor and then I found out Sally was sick with cancer. I only found out a short while ago and I must say, we will really miss Sally. Some people cannot be replaced and Sally is one of them. May God Bless Sally and again our thoughts and prayers are with the family at this very difficult time. Sincerely, Marilyn Lincoln
