Obituary of Alberta Goetz
Passed away peacefully, on Tuesday, March 19, 2013 at Heritage House, St. Jacob's in her 97th year. She was predeceased by her beloved husband Frank in 1989.
Her ultimate pride and joy was her family. Dear mother of Anne (Len) Strauss and Gary (Maureen) Goetz. Loving grandmother of Dr. Paul (Cathy) Strauss, Barb Strauss (Eric Brouillard) and Dan (Heather) Goetz and cherished great-grandmother of Colin and Lauren Strauss, Amelié and Chloé Brouillard, Riley, Taylor and Patrick Goetz, and step great-grandmother of Josh and Mistralle Brouillard. Also survived by her sister Rita Stoesser and brother in law Howard Conrad.
Predeceased by her grandson David Goetz in 1992, brothers and sisters, Leo Weiler, Henrietta Weiler, Simon (Irma) Weiler, Jerome (Eleanor) Weiler and Patricia Conrad.
Alberta was born November 21, 1916 to Andrew & Catherine (nee Rumig) Weiler who predeceased her. She was married at St. Louis RC Church and remained a faithful member ever since. Alberta was a proud member of the St. Louis C.W.L. and the Carmelites. Her devotion to the Blessed Virgin Mary was shown through her daily rosary.
Friends are invited to share their memories of Alberta with her family during visitation at the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King St. S., Waterloo, on Thursday, March 21, 2013 from 2-4 & 7-9 pm with Parish Prayers at 3 p.m. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Louis RC Church, 53 Allen Street East, Waterloo on Friday, March 22 at 11:00 am. Interment to follow at Parkview Cemetery and reception in the Parish Hall of the church following the committal service.
Special thanks to Dr. Whitby and heartfelt thanks to the staff at Heritage House St. Jacobs for the kindness and loving care shown to mom over the years. You are truly angels on earth and a blessing at a difficult time.
