Obituary of Eric Broadhurst

Eric passed away at his home in Waterloo, surrounded by the love of his family, on Wednesday, March 20, 2013 at the age of 77. Beloved husband of Minnie (nee Potter) for 50 years. Dear father of Bob Ballantyne (Denise) and Allison Broadhurst (Alfredo Sanchez). Lovingly remembered by his grandchildren, Alex (Stephanie), Jennifer, Jessica (Marc Chabot), Eric (Katie), Paul (Tara), Betsy (Tommy Pawson), Katie; and great-grandchildren, Ayden, Gracie, Sierra, Madeleine, and Aurore. Survived by his sisters, Elsie Ireland and Thelma Caffrey. Predeceased by his parents, James and Emily (nee Teer) Broadhurst; and brothers-in-law, Dennis Ireland and Matthew Caffrey. Relatives and friends are invited to share memories of Eric at the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King St. S., Waterloo on Sunday, March 24 from 6 - 8 p.m. The memorial service to celebrate Eric's life will be held at Waterloo Mennonite Brethren Church, 245 Lexington Rd., Waterloo on Monday, March 25, 2013 at 11 a.m. with Pastor Bonita Eby officiating. A reception will immediately follow at the church.
