Obituary of Sarah Ellen Martin

Passed away on April 2, 2013 at Victoria Place, Kitchener, age 81. Loving wife of Clare S. Martin of West Montrose. Mother of Brenda (Dennis) Madill of Amaranth, Leon (Gloria) Martin of West Montrose, Dale (Susan) Martin of Waterloo, and Carol (Gerald) Fehrenbach of Conestogo. Grandmother of Robynne (Robert) Kingswood; Monica (Andrew) Bellous, Roslyn (Bill) Thomas and Julie Martin; Abigayle (Bill) Pawson, Krista Martin (Steve Keegstra), and Brett (Andrea Ferguson) Martin; and Craig (Laura) Fehrenbach and Keri-Lyn Fehrenbach. Great-grandmother of Khaemon Kingswood, Susannah and Rosalie Bellous, Emery Pawson and Oscar Martin. Survived by her sister Martha (Aden) Weber; brother-in-laws Leonard Gingrich and Mervin Martin; and sister-in-laws Eunice Burkhart and Vera Weber. Predeceased by her parents Herbert and Irene (nee Woolner) Burkhart, three brothers and four sisters. In addition to being a loving wife and mother, she was an avid quilter who made many beautiful quilts for her family. Mom and her friends at Bloomingdale Mennonite Church annually made quilts for the Mennonite Relief Sale Auction. She will be sadly missed. Friends are invited to share their memories of Sarah Ellen with her family during visitation at the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King St. S., Waterloo on Friday April 5th, 2013 from 2-4 and 7-9pm. The funeral service will be held on Saturday April 6th, 2013 at 11am at Bloomingdale Mennonite Church, 1151 Snyder's Flats Rd, Bloomingdale. A reception will follow in the church hall with burial taking place after.
