Obituary of Howard Weber
Howard passed away suddenly, but peacefully with family by his side on Wednesday, April 17, 2013 at K-W Health Centre of Grand River Hospital.
He leaves behind his loving and faithful wife Lucille Weber (nee Snider) of 66 years.
Beloved father of John (Patti) Weber, California; Jenny (Dr. Mike) Ritter, New Hamburg; Allan (Anne) Weber, B.C.; and David Weber, St Jacobs.
Will be sadly missed by his grandchildren Eric, Ashley, Allison, Chad, Renee, Lukas, Sam and a great grandchild Bryson.
Survived by his sister Reta (Glenn) Scheifele; sisters-in-law Betty Weber, Carol (Howard) Gimbel, Elaine Yoder, Elizabeth Weber, Delphine (Merv) Gingrich, Jean (Bob) Fitzgerald and Mary Kay Snider.
Predeceased by his parents Joseph and Mary (Erb) Weber, sister Agnes Brubacher, brothers Joe and Leonard Weber; and his brothers-in-law Isaac Brubacher, Bill Yoder and Howard Jr. Snider.
Howard was a lifelong member of Erb St. Mennonite Church in Waterloo and a volunteer with Habitat for Humanity. He loved being a transport truck driver for over 50 years and in retirement going to Moparfest and numerous car shows with his '64 Dodge Custom 880.
The Weber family will share memories during visitation on Wednesday, April 24, 2013 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at Erb & Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King St. S., Waterloo. The funeral service to celebrate Howard's life and faith will take place at Erb St. Mennonite Church, 131 Erb St. W., Waterloo on Thursday, April 25 at 11 a.m. with Rev. Eleanor Epp-Stobbe officiating. Reception to follow in the church hall. Cremation and then interment at Erb St. Mennonite Church Cemetery.
