Obituary of Charles Jonas
Suddenly, at St. Mary's General Hospital, Kitchener on Friday, April 19, 2013 at the age of 92.
Beloved husband of the late Martha Jonas who predeceased him on July 27, 2010. Cherished father of Beverley and her husband Wayne Neeb of Conestogo, John and his wife Rosanne Jonas of Cambridge, Albert Gould and his wife Jean of Harriston, and Elaine Rouw of Hanover. Much loved Gramps of Deanna Neeb, Trevor Neeb (Melissa Weeda), Jay (Nicole) Jonas, Crystal (Trevor) Beatson, Lorne (Charlotte) Gould, Gail De LaFranier, Gwen Gould, and Gary and Wendy Rouw. Dear Great-Gramps of Braydon and Taylor Beatson, Carter and Cooper Jonas, Lucas and Gracie Neeb, and Derek and Amber De LaFranier.
Predeceased by his parents, John and MaryAnne (Letson) Jonas; brothers, Vern, Bill, and Ernie Jonas; and sisters, Myrtle Schnarr, Edith Valeriote, and Mae Lundy.

During the Second World War, Charles proudly served his country overseas in the Algonquin Regiment. He was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 530 Waterloo.
Friends are invited to share their memories of Charles with his family during visitation at the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King St. S., Waterloo on Monday, April 22 from 6-9 p.m. where a Legion Tribute Service under the auspices of the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 530 Waterloo will be held at 7 p.m. The funeral service will be held at St. Matthew's Lutheran Church, 131 Flax Mill Dr., Conestogo on Tuesday, April 23, 2013 at 10:30 a.m. Interment at St. Matthew's Lutheran Church Cemetery will follow the service with a reception afterwards at the church.
