Obituary of Robert Newbery

Bob Newbery passed away at St. Mary's General Hospital on April 20, 2013 at the age of 88 years. Bob Newbery, loving husband of Jean Newbery of 51 years. Loving father of Andrew, Bill, Liz and their partners, Richard and Angela. Dear grandfather of Madison, Callum & Evan. Bob was born in Battle England in 1924. He first came to Canada in 1944 to train as a pilot with the Royal Air Force. He later emigrated to Canada in 1957. Bob enjoyed many leisure activities including gardening, photography, camping, hiking and canoeing. He was a member of the K-W Field Naturalists and a founding member of the Old Salts Senior Canoe Club. A celebration of life reception will be held in the Fireside Reception Room at the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King St. S., Waterloo, on Wednesday April 24, 2013 from 3-5 pm.
