Obituary of Elizabeth McDonald

Passed away peacefully at home on Monday, June 3, 2013 at the age of 84. Beloved wife of the late Laird McDonald. Dear mother of Tony McDonald and his wife Judy, Teresa Bezanson and her husband Terry, all of Kitchener, Jerome McDonald of Toronto, and Joanne McDonald of Waterloo. Grandmother of Erin McDonald. Elizabeth is also survived by her sister, Helen Brunning of Toronto and brothers, Michael and Jean O'Neill and Carl and Angela O'Neill, all of Markdale. Predeceased by her parents, Alfred and Annie (McMillan) O'Neill; sister, Florence McDonald; and brothers, Cyril O'Neill and Dr. Pat O'Neill. Elizabeth was a long-time, faithful and active member of St. Louis RC Church in Waterloo. The McDonald family would like to express their gratitude to the CCAC, the Red Cross Personal Support Workers, and the ParaMed nurses who made it possible for our mother to remain in the comfort of her own home. Elizabeth's family will receive relatives and friends at the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King St. S., Waterloo on Wednesday, June 5 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. with Parish Prayers at 8:45 p.m. Prayers will be offered at the funeral home on Thursday, June 6, 2013 at 10 a.m., followed by the Mass of Christian Burial at St. Louis RC Church, 53 Allen St. E., Waterloo at 10:30 a.m. Interment at Parkview Cemetery, Waterloo. A reception will follow at the funeral home.
