Obituary of Joanne Knorr

In the home she made with her husband Gerry and raised four children, Joanne was called to be with God on Friday, June 28, 2013 after 79 years of a full and productive life. Beloved wife of Gerald (Gerry) for 57 years. Although Joanne worked at various places throughout her life, her main love was that of homemaker and mother. She is survived by her children, Carol Ann Knorr, Patti Holody and husband Rob, Andrea Archer and husband Patrick, and Chris Knorr and his wife Claudia. Joanne made sleepovers and cottage visits special to her grandchildren Krystin, Joey, Andrew, and Sophia whom she loved very much. Joanne grew up in St. Clements, a daughter of the late Aloysius "Ollie" and Agnes (nee Forwell) Beaupre. She is survived by her brother Kenneth Beaupre and his wife Theresa, sister Lucille Bordman, all of Waterloo, sister-in-law Patricia Beaupre of St. Clements, and predeceased by brother, Ronald Beaupre (June 3, 2012). Gerry was not only her husband but also her travel companion, walking companion for countless miles on trails, and co-builder of their cottage on Ahmic Lake. Joanne enjoyed sewing, decorating her surroundings, and painting beautiful watercolours. Keeping healthy was important to Joanne and she enjoyed participating in aerobics classes. Church life was very important to Joanne and she was an active member at St. Agnes RC Church and a CWL member for 57 years. Relatives and friends are invited to share memories of Joanne with her family during visitation at the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King St. S., Waterloo on Wednesday, July 3, 2013 from 1-4 and 7-9 p.m. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Agnes R C Church, 75 Bluevale St. N., Waterloo on Thursday, July 4, 2013 at 11 a.m. A reception in the Parish Hall will immediately follow the mass. Private family cremation with interment at Parkview Cemetery, Waterloo.
