Dear Chris and Leah: I am so sorry for your loss of our dear friend and your mother, Sue. I spent an hour with her on June 6th and had a few laughs and some deep conversation. For her to meet Piper was a huge goal, which she accomplished. I spent many years working with Sue and became close friends. After retiring we won,ld meet at the casino For a few more laughs. Sue never failed to offer help at work if you had questions and she knew all the answers!! Her knowledge was invaluable to WCDSB. Unfortunately, I am in Vermont and unable to be with you, your family and friends of Sue who are many. Please know that I am with you in spirit as Sue is put to rest. I will miss your mom as a great friend.

Our fastball group spent so much time together hosting and attending tournaments. It was hard work and fun. We have many memories. On one trip to Kimberly, we were singing gospel tunes on Sunday morning on the road home. Sue could do it all and had so much experience over so many years. Our best to the family, as this special lady will be sorely missed.

We will miss Auntie Sue a lot, but we are filled with wonderful memories of our best camping buddy. Sunny days or rainy days, Auntie Sue kept us entertained and happy. We are blessed to have known her gentle and kind spirit. Our deepest sympathies to Chris and Leah and their families.

I had the privilege of hiring Sue as my Executive Assitant when at the time, I was Superintendent of Education with the Waterloo Catholic Board. Sue was truly special and gifted in so many ways, a computer "whiz", well-organized, and had an awesome sense of humour. She was someone I could count on, very supportive and well loved by her peers in her office, who always enjoyed a laugh with her, and when it was most needed, learned not to take things too seriously, except when it mattered. Sadly, I can't be there with her family, since I am out of the country, but want you to know, your "Sue" mom, grandmother, was someone of whom you can truly be proud. Norm Damaren

Sue will always have a special place in my life as I remember her fondly as a child and as an adult. Her memories of Leah and I as children always made me smile and I could always count on her for kind words. I'm happy she was a part of my life.

Many years ago, when I was a month away from starting university and still had nowhere to live, Sue Sherry offered me a place in her home. Although I ended up finding an apartment, that gesture helped relieve so much stress and I will be forever grateful. During my first year in Waterloo I would go and do my laundry at her house. Let me tell you, sitting in Sue Sherry's flower garden waiting for your washing to be finished was miles better than hanging out in the laundromat. I am glad that I have these and so many more memories of this force of nature. She was funny and sarcastic and she didn't suffer fools. I am glad she had her family with her. Love to you all.

I had the pleasure of working with Sue at Waterloo Catholic DSB from 2007 to 2009. She was highly intelligent individual with an excellent work ethic from whom I learned a great deal. She was always willing to help out a rookie Superintendent and had a wonderful sense of humour. We shared many laughs around the office during my time there. My sincere condolences to her immediate family as well as the WCDSB family. She will be greatly missed.

My condolences to the family of Sue. Sue was one of my favorite people. I first met Sue in 2006 during the planning for the ISC World Tournament. After spending a few minutes in conversation, Sue made me feel like we had been friends all our life. Those of you that have known Sue should consider yourselves among the luckiest people.
