Noreen was my adopted"Ontario mother" - one of the first to welcome me to Waterloo and to First United Church. She always had a twinkle in her eye and endless kindness in her heart. Her compassion and love for her family, our family, her friends and her church was consistent, ever-present and admirable. We loved this fine lady and will miss her greatly.

What an amazing person Noreen was. She, Bob, Lynne and Jim welcomed Phil as his host family way back in 1970. Noreen was always there to chat over a cup of tea, or on the phone – baking, listening, giving great advice, feeding the hungry(!). And in 1977, Noreen and the family also welcomed Celia with open arms. Lots of happy memories – the art group, church suppers, days at the cottage – the list goes on. We're sad Noreen has gone, but so happy that we knew her.
