Obituary of Betty Eby

Passed away peacefully on Wednesday September 11, 2013 at the Lanark Heights Long Term Care Centre in her 86th year. Loving wife to the late Donald Martin Eby for 63 years. Beloved mother to son Jim and his wife Donna; daughter Diane Ostvold and her husband Arnold; and son David and his wife Beth. Very special grandma to Julie (Clay), Todd (Jennifer), Karina, Tor David, Daniel, Drew and Adrienne. Gramma Betty to her great-grandchildren Grace, Victoria, Jack, Anna and Alice. Sister-in-law to Kathleen Barker. Betty was the daughter of the late George and Mary Barker and predeceased also by her brother Arnold Barker. Betty was employed at Ontario Office Outfitters/Wilson's. She was a devoted member of the St. Columba Anglican Church for many years as member of the A.C.W., church choir, and altar guild. Betty was also a volunteer with the Multiple Sclerosis Society and the Independent Living Centre, and member of the Dystonia Association. Visitation will be held at St. Columba Anglican Church, 250 Lincoln Rd., Waterloo, On., on Saturday, October 5, 2013 from 12:00 -1:45 p.m. with a memorial service at 2:00 p.m. Reception to follow.
