Obituary of Doris Curry

Doris passed away peacefully at Columbia Forest Long Term Care, Waterloo, on Thursday September 27, 2013 in her 91st year. She was the beloved wife of Gerald "Larry" Curry. Father to Chris and his wife Stephanie Curry and Susan and her husband John Wright. She was Nana to Melanie Wright, Sarah and her husband Jason Kokoski, Amy and her husband Joe Martz, Dustin Curry, and Jordan Curry. She was Great Nana to Madeleine, Owen, and Hailey Kokoski. Doris is survived by her brother Eric and his wife Gillian Blomfield of Dawlish, Devon, England and pre-deceased by her brother Robert and his wife Hilda Blomfield. Doris is survived by nieces Anne and Alison, and nephews Michael, Timothy, Jonathan, and Paul. Doris was born in London, England on November 12, 1922 to the late Sydney and Georgina Blomfield. Doris met and married her husband of 66 years while he was serving in England with the Royal Canadian Air Force. Upon their marriage, she moved to Canada. As an air-force bride, she lived and traveled across Canada and ended up in Toronto in 1958. A memorial visitation will be held on Sunday September 29th 2013 from 1:00 to 1:45 pm. The memorial service will then take place at 2:00 pm in the funeral home chapel with a reception following immediately at the funeral home.
