Obituary of Adrian Davidson

Adrian Cyril passed away very peacefully on Sunday, September 29, 2013 at St. Mary's Hospital, Kitchener at the age of 88. Dearest, caring and devoted husband to Kathleen. Loving and supportive father of Garry and Craig. Kind grandfather of Fraser and Lexi Davidson. Dear brother to William and his wife Isobel Davidson of Ayr, Scotland and missed by his sister-in-law Margaret Davidson of Perth, Scotland. Predeceased by his brother Francis and parents Francis and Ada Davidson. Adrian was born in New Deer, Aberdeenshire, Scotland on March 17, 1925. In 1945, he graduated from the University of Aberdeen, Scotland with a Bachelor of Science in Engineering. He apprenticed two years at Metropolitan Vickers which became Associated Electrical Industries. Adrian installed many large Steam Turbines across Canada, Hong Kong, Singapore and Turkey. From there he joined Ontario Hydro in 1972. Cremation has taken place and there will be no visitation or funeral. Friends and associates are most welcome to attend a Memorial Reception celebrating the life of Adrian Cyril, which will be held at the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King St. S., Waterloo on Sunday, October 6, 2013 from 2 to 5 p.m. in the Fireside Reception Room.
