Obituary of Ruby Moutoux
Ruby went to be with her Lord and Saviour on Monday, October 14, 2013, peacefully, at Forest Heights Long-Term Care Centre in Kitchener.
Ruby was the dearly loved wife of Wilfrid E. Moutoux who predeceased her on March 4, 2009. They were married in 1947 and enjoyed 62 years together as they laboured for the Lord. Ruby was born on October 28, 1919 in Owen Sound, Ontario.
She was predeceased by her father Samuel Hiscox, mother Mary Hiscox (nee Milroy), three brothers Robert, William, and Harold, and six sisters Sade, Mrs. William James; Bessie, Mrs. Lance Banks; Viola, Mrs. Bill Cohen; Rose, Mrs. Clifford Johnson; Margaret, Mrs. Matthew Beatty; and Kay, Mrs. Melvin Reiley.
Ruby is survived and lovingly remembered by many nieces and nephews.
Ruby was a graduate of Emmanuel Bible College in 1947 and was a consecrated Deaconess in the Wesleyan Church. Ruby and Wilfrid traveled extensively in church work for more than 50 years, traveling to India, the West Indies, England, Europe, 8 Canadian provinces, and many U.S. States. They traveled by train, bus, plane, and boat.
Visitation will be held at the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King St. S., Waterloo on Friday, October 18, 2013 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will be held in the Funeral Home Chapel on Saturday, October 19, 2013 at 1 p.m. with Rev. Marilyn Rushton from Bethany Evangelical Missionary Church officiating. Interment at Bridgeport Memorial Cemetery. A reception will follow in the funeral home's Fireside Reception Room.
