Obituary of Gordon Steffler

At the age of 90, passed away on Tuesday, October 22, 2013 at the Hanover Care Centre. After many years of ill health, God came down and whispered soft and low, "Come with Me Gord", it's time to go". Thanks be to God. Loving husband of Magdalene (Huber) for 66 years. Dear father of Ron and Leona Steffler of Hanover, Rick and Betty Steffler of Summerland, B.C., Louise and Doug Kraemer of Walkerton. Predeceased by daughter Judy Steffler in 2004. He will be greatly missed by grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and his many nieces and nephews. Dear brother of Loreen Freiburger, Loretta Schnarr, Robert and Anne Steffler, Urban and Kay Steffler. Predeceased by his father Enoch Steffler, his mother Matilda (Dietrich), sisters Kay and her husband Peter Yestremski, Clara and her husband John Scheffner, brothers-in-law Claude Freibuger and Leonard Schnarr. Gord enjoyed fishing, hunting and a good game of cards. Friends and relatives are invited to share their memories of Gord with the family at Erb & Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King Street South, Waterloo, Ont., on Saturday, October 26, 2013, from 9:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. with a service at 11:00 a.m. Interment at Parkview Cemetery with lunch to follow in the Fireside Reception Room of the funeral home. Monsignor Edward Sheridan officiating.
