Obituary of Terrance Hollohan
It is with great sorrow that we announce Terry's passing at home on Tuesday, November 5, 2013, at age 62, after a courageous, two year battle with cancer.
Beloved husband of Helen (nee Grzyb) for 42 years; loving father of Jennifer and Scott Van Trigt, Adam and Amanda Hollohan, and Quinn and Amber Hollohan. Cherished Grampa of Ryerson Van Trigt and Dublin Hollohan. Dear brother of Wayne and Bernice Hollohan, Stephen Hollohan, Judy and Bert Raben, and Mary-Anne and Rick Schweitzer. He is lovingly remembered by his nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, and extended family and friends.
He is predeceased by his parents, Marcella (Quinn) and Thomas Hollohan.
Terry was the proud owner of Bent's Cameras fotosource for over 30 years. He loved being a staple of the Uptown Waterloo community. He was proud to employ many staff members over the years and to support his family through his dedication and hard work at the store. Through his business endeavours, Terry was one of the founding members of the fotosource brand and served on its table of directors. Five years ago Terry extended the business and purchased Pond's fotosource in Guelph.
Outside of work, Terry was a member of the Waterloo Rotary Club for over 15 years. He served as President and received the Paul Harris award for "service above self".
Terry's family would like to extend special thanks to Dr. Bouttell, the 4th Floor staff at Grand River Cancer Center, and all of the nurses from CCAC and Care Partners. Their amazing care, patience and service for Terry over the past few years has been invaluable.
