Obituary of Franc Bednjicki
Franc passed away suddenly on Monday, November 25, 2013 doing what he loved, his morning walk. After a recorded 20, 247 miles, he has gone to walk in greener pastures.
Born in Brezova Gora, in the former Yugoslavia, Franc was predeceased by his parents, three brothers, one sister and Nada Nickel (Yogi's Mom). Survived by daughter Yogi Bednjicki, her partner Mark Zarzycki, Bob, Zivka, Andy and Alex Milosavljevic. Also survived by two sisters from Slovenia, Marija Rošar and Amalija Gabrovec and many nieces and nephews, especially niece Jasmina Rosar.
The many extended families that enriched his life include The Conestoga Mall Walkers, Tim Horton's and Coffee Time companions who provided fun, humour and compassion on a daily basis. Special thanks to Maria Weber, her children and grandchildren who brought him so much joy over the years.
Dad, how can mere words describe the special man you were? You taught me all the big life lessons, were always there, a positive influence providing love, support, peace, comfort and of course a great joke. My memories will include you laughing, smiling, and making the most of each day. I will not be alone as I know you will always walk alongside me as my journey continues. I will smile every time I see a bauble atop a car antenna blowing in the wind; I know this will be you waving to me from Heaven. Till we meet again, all my love, Yogi.
